The RF should have a strong background in Atmospheric Science, hydrological science or related research areas. The successful candidate will be expected to investigate the rainfall pattern associated with typhoon events and develop coupled ocean-atmosphere-hydrodynamic model. We prefer candidates with experience in using and developing climate model, rainfall model or weather forecast model (e.g. the Weather Research and Forecasting Model).

Basic Requirements:

  • Ph.D degree in Atmospheric Science, Hydrological Science, Coastal Engineering or related research areas
  • Good time management,
  • communication skills and team work spirit
  • Strong coding capacity with the experience of using common programming languages such as FORTRAN, MATLAB, PYTHON, etc.
